BREAKING NEWS: Kansas City Chief head Coach Andy Reid breaks silence on Justyn Ross after NFL takes decision on Chiefs WR

The NFL made the decision to add Justyn Ross to the Commissioner Exempt List earlier today. Andy Reid was questioned regarding his wide receiver’s situation after making this choice.

Ross was taken into custody by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office earlier this week. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver was reportedly arrested earlier this week on suspicion of committing a crime totaling approximately $25,000. It was later revealed that Ross was accused of two different offenses.

He was issued a ticket for both domestic battery and criminal damage. As long as he is added to the Commissioner Exempt List, the former Clemson player will not be permitted to practice with the team or attend games.

Justyn Ross deserves expanded role in Chiefs' offense

According to Nate Taylor, this is what coach Reid stated:

We’ll just let it play out.”
Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt presented comparable circumstances to the Kansas City Chiefs in the past, and each case was resolved differently. It will be interesting to observe how this situation turns out.

What does this portend for the Chiefs’ future with Justyn Ross?
Justyn Ross signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs following the 2022 NFL Draft. Due to an injury, he missed his entire rookie season, which the team intended for him to focus on getting ready for the 2023–2024 NFL season.

Both in the preseason and at training camp, he made an impression on everyone. He hasn’t played a significant role for the Chiefs in the regular season yet, though, despite that. Because of Ross’ extraordinary talent and the Chiefs’ belief in him, it is unlikely that they will cut him unless things get worse.

Justyn Ross has also received a lot of praise from Patrick Mahomes, and if he can find his game, he has the potential to be a fantastic player for them. The Chiefs supporters will be hoping that Ross recovers from his circumstances in 2019 as well as Tyreek Hill did.

The Chiefs’ next game is against the Denver Broncos, and Ross, regrettably, will not be playing.
