FOOTAGE: Dressing room unrest emerges at Milan – Pioli must recover dressing room harmony after three expressions of discontent

According to a report, Stefano Pioli must reestablish control of the AC Milan dressing room following three recent instances that cast doubt on matters.

Milan ‘revealed all their current fragilities’ last night in a 2-2 draw with Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, says Daniele Longo for Calciomercato.com, after being 2-0 up but then throwing it away in the second half.

Pioli had mentioned tension and anxieties in his pre-match press conference at Milanello the day before, and they were evident last night, with the Rossoneri appearing on edge.

Olivier Giroud was displeased with being pulled off while potentially on his way to a hat-trick.

He sat on a freezer box for a bit before going to the bench and then sitting alone, in a corner, depressed.

Rafael Leo was equally displeased when he approached Pioli to seek explanations. These were two spectacular reactions that occurred following the double substitution of Okafor and Jovic.

Of course, these things can happen in the heat of battle, and Giroud confirmed that there was no issue, but it comes after the disagreement with Davide Calabria during the 3-0 loss in Paris.

Pioli still has to cope with his players’ discontent, which is a warning sign: he needs to recapture the harmony he displayed at the start of the season before it’s too late.
