DONE DEAL: Rams are set to finalize a trade deal involving Carolina Panthers Veteran – A deal set to be completed before NFL Trade deadline.

The Los Angeles Rams must make a choice before the 1 p.m. PT trade deadline on Tuesday. Do they acquire some veterans to make a run at the playoffs, or do they slow down and try to build on their deepest draft selection haul in years? According to Bleacher Report, if the team decides to take a buyer’s strategy, they should trade for Carolina Panthers veteran linebacker Justin Houston.

“Improving the pass rush, as the Rams have only 12 sacks this season, would be a great place to start.” Snead should consider adding Carolina Panthers edge-defender Justin Houston, according to Bleacher Report. “The 34-year-old is on a one-year, $6 million contract and can probably be had for next to nothing.” With the Rams finally owning first-, second-, and third-round picks in 2024, a low-cost agreement is likely just what L.A. wants.”

Houston, 34, had only eight tackles this season with the Panthers, but he has extensive postseason history with the Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, and Baltimore Ravens.

Houston’s value is not at its peak, so the Rams could theoretically obtain him for a steal. If the Panthers call and the price is a late-round pick or a trade, it may be in the Rams’ best interests to accept a deal.

With the Rams’ pass rush failing all season, adding a player like Houston might mean the difference between a playoff push or an early season departure in Los Angeles.
