According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Brock Purdy has cleared the league’s concussion protocol and will play for the San Francisco 49ers this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“#49ers QB Brock Purdy has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and will play against the #Bengals on Sunday.” “On Friday, he was a full participant and had been listed as questionable,” Rapoport wrote in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

It’s a significant development for the great quarterback, and the NFL world reacted strongly to the news on social media on Saturday afternoon.

Purdy is the first NFL player this season to clear concussion protocol the same week he entered it, and he did it on a short week with the Niners playing on Monday night.

We’ll have to wait and see how he does against the Bengals on Sunday.
