DEAL AGREED: Detroit Piston announced today that the club has converted its shooting guard contract to a two-way contract

The Detroit Pistons announced today that Stanley Umude’s contract has been converted to a two-way contract. On August 7, Umude signed an Exhibit 10 contract.

 

Umude (6-6, 210 pounds) played in 43 games for the Motor City Cruise, the Detroit Pistons’ NBA G-League affiliate, last season, averaging 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 27.5 minutes per game.

On February 10, 2022, Umude signed a 10-day contract with Detroit and appeared in one game for the Pistons during the 2022-23 season.

Umude, a native of Portland, Ore., played 138 collegiate games for South Dakota and Arkansas. During his college career, he averaged 14.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.7 steals while shooting 46.8% from the field, and he helped Arkansas reach the NCAA Elite Eight in 2022.
