Untold story about Tigers rugby league star who is charged for murder

A junior member of the West Tigers NRL club has been charged over the murder of Dejan ‘Danny the Serb’ Radulovic. Up-and-coming Masei Tavui, 19, allegedly stabbed and shot Radulovic, 29, on Donnelly St in Balmain, in Sydney‘s inner-west, on July 29. Following a two-and-a-half month investigation, police raided a home in Austral, in the city’s south-west, at about 7.15am on TuesdayThey took “clothing relevant to the investigation” and handcuffed Tavui before leading him outside

He was escorted to the police station in Liverpool and accused of one count of murder.

About four years ago, Tavui joined the Wests Tigers junior divisions and participated in the under-19s competition as a back-rower. For 2024, he was not under contract with the team.

 

Police assert that he departed the scene in a white Jeep on the day of the alleged murder in July.

He allegedly abandoned the car and set it ablaze on a nearby residential street in Five Dock. Radulovic had emergency surgery after being rushed
