DEAL CONFIRMED: Barcelona prepared to “do everything possible” in order to bring striker to the club in January

Barcelona agreed to sign Vitor Roque during the summer transfer window, but due to Financial Fair Play concerns, they were unable to bring him in immediately. As a result, he will continue with Athletico Paranaense until the end of the Brazilian league season in December.

Xavi Hernandez, the club’s head coach, is determined to have Roque, who is now recovering from an ankle injury, in his squad by January, though this will depend on whether there is enough room in the club’s finances for him to be registered.

Eduard Romeu, Barcelona’s Economic Vice President, addressed the situation with Roque in an interview with MD, and he stated his determination to grant Xavi’s wish to have the 18-year-old in the team for the second half of the season.

“We have two registration windows, one in January and one in June.” As always, we will do all in our power to gratify the sporting department, which is in charge of this.

“We need to generate enough fair play (in January) to sign Roque.” We will continue to do everything feasible and impossible to gratify Xavi, as we have in the past.”

Roque would be a much-needed addition to the Barcelona squad, especially because Robert Lewandowski is the club’s only natural number nine. Getting him in January would be a huge boost for the Catalans.
