JUST NOW: Massive Lakers- Mavericks Trade; LA Lakers Officially Acquire Dallas Mavericks Center In a Explosive NBA Trade

Given that LeBron James may be starting his final season with the Los Angeles Lakers, his future with the team appears questionable.

The Lakers may look into methods to trade the superstar in order to maximize LeBron James’ worth if their season doesn’t live up to expectations and a championship run seems unattainable.

Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report put forth a trade proposal that would give the Lakers some much-needed roster depth while letting go of LeBron.

Trade proposal:

Lakers Landing Daniel Gafford This Offseason?

The Lakers get two Lakers second-round picks, James’ $24.1 million trade exception, Daniel Gafford, P.J. Washington, Naji Marshall, Caleb Martin, and Jaden Hardy.

Lebron James, Bronny James, Tyrese Martin, Drew Timme, and a $1.8 million and $1.1 million trade exception are all given to the Mavericks.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Dwight Powell, Maxi Kleber, and Dalton Knecht are acquired by the Nets.

All three of the teams involved in this deal appear to find this trade to be a good option. With a core that may include LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Cooper Flagg, Anthony Davis, and D’Angelo Russell, the Mavericks would acquire another superstar to increase their chances of contending for a championship.
