The Los Angeles Lakers have spent much of the offseason figuring out how to restructure their roster around LeBron James and Luka Doncic. After acquiring center Deandre Ayton, the team has prioritized improving wing depth and adding more two-way ability in order to improve on their first-round exit last season and compete for a title the following year.
Andrew Wiggins’ name continued coming up in trade rumors. The Miami Heat forward, who was acquired from the Golden State Warriors in February, was rumored to have been a top target for Los Angeles this summer. According to Anthony Irwin of ClutchPoints, Miami considered moving the former No. 1 overall choice to the Lakers in return for Rui Hachimura, Dalton Knecht, and draft assets.
