As the 2025 NFL season approaches, the NFC South division is completely uncontested. The Atlanta Falcons will be a team worth watching, even if many people think the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the favorite. The Falcons had an 8-9 record at the end of the previous season and just missed the playoffs. Despite being in the running the entire season, they were unable to advance to the postseason. This season in Atlanta will mark the start of a new era in football. The team’s second-year quarterback, Michael Penix Jr., will start and try to lead the Falcons back to success. The roster appears to be sound, but there are still some unanswered questions. The cornerback position may be one area that need attention.

He is still more than capable of becoming one of the NFL’s top cornerbacks if he can fully recover and maintain his health. In the seven games he did participate in last season with Green Bay, Alexander demonstrated his abilities. He recorded two interceptions, a defensive score, seven defended passes, one fumble recovery, and 16 total tackles.
He would take over as Atlanta’s top cornerback right away. As long as he is well enough to play, he would remain there. The Falcons would be taking on little to no risk, but teams might be put off by the worries surrounding his health. After the 2025 season, Atlanta could just move on if things didn’t work out on a one-year deal. The Falcons are a team to watch, even if they aren’t interested in Alexander.
