BREAKING: Bournemouth Boss Made a Stunning Decision On Trading Milos Kerkez To Liverpool After Losing Key Defender Huijsen to Real Madrid

Liverpool are keen to add Milos Kerkez to their ranks in the summer transfer season.
Despite Liverpool’s interest, AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola maintained that no formal contact has yet been made for Milos Kerkez.

Kerkez had a fantastic season for the Cherries in 2024–25. With a club-record 56 points and two goals and six assists, he started all 38 Premier League games as Bournemouth finished ninth in the standings.

Kerkez is a target as Liverpool looks to reinforce their left-back lineup this summer. Andy Robertson has won eight major titles since joining Anfield in 2017 and was the Reds’ first choice throughout their Premier League title-winning victory. However, Robertson is now 31 years old, and a permanent replacement is needed.

According to some estimates, Kerkez is worth about £45 million to Bournemouth. However, Iraola stated that there was “no news” regarding the 21-year-old’s future before to the Cherries’ 2-0 victory over Leicester City on the last day of the season.

What has been stated

According to BBC Sport, the Spaniard stated: “I am not aware of anything specific. This season, he has done a great job. We are quite pleased with him, but I am aware that there may be rumors and teams vying for his services. I have no updates regarding him.

Following Leicester’s victory, Kerkez acknowledged that he was unsure of his future. “38 games, 38 starts, we finished the job and broke the record, thanks to the fans and everyone for support,” the former AC Milan full-back wrote in an Instagram post.

Thank you to the coach for believing in me to start all 38 games. I also want to thank the person above for keeping me safe and well. Of course, without my family, nothing would be possible. I’m not sure what will happen next week, but thank you, Cherry family.

In the past, Kerkez has acknowledged his desire to play at the highest level possible during his career. “As a child, you dream to play at the highest level, win the trophies, be on the best teams,” he stated in an interview with The Athletic prior to Bournemouth’s loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarterfinals. There are still games to play, and the FA Cup is significant to us.

And then, as I say, you never know what will happen or where you’ll wind up when someone steps in for you. We’ll see what occurs in the summer.
