CONFIRMED DEPARTURE: Packers Have Officially Confirm The Departure of Star WR Romeo Doubs To Tennessee Titans In a Blockbuster Trade.

The Green Bay Packers are preparing for the 2025 season, eager to take the next step. After making the playoffs in two straight seasons with Jordan Love as quarterback, Green Bay loaded up on offensive skill this offseason. They acquired three wide receivers in free agency (Mecole Hardman) and the NFL Draft (Matthew Golden and Savion Williams).

However, the front office is expected to make a transaction that their star quarterback is unlikely to approve of.

“This Can’t Happen” The Packers are expected to make a big trade that will irritate Jordan Love.

Moe Moton of Bleacher Report made “8 bold predictions” on Friday, one of which involved a 25-year-old Packers wideout being traded to the Tennessee Titans.

“The Green Bay Packers added rookie first-rounder Matthew Golden to a crowded wide receiver room,” Moton stated in an email.

“The Packers can go four deep at the position, with Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Golden. When Christian Watson returns from his ruptured ACL, Green Bay will have a five-man rotation.”

“The Packers also have Tucker Kraft, a promising tight end who caught 50 passes for 707 yards and seven touchdowns last year. Quarterback Jordan Love has a lot of hands to feed in the aerial assault, making it tough to meet all of his pass-catchers’ target share requirements. Doubs and Watson, two of the five wide receivers, are set to become free agents in 2026. Green Bay should consider trading one of them for draft money to alleviate the receiver logjam.”

Moton also stated that Doubs isn’t satisfied with his role in Green Bay:

“Last season, Doubs skipped practices due to frustrations with his role in the Packers offense.”

“Green Bay should offer Doubs to the receiver-needy Tennessee Titans,” Moton said afterwards.

“Tennessee signed seasoned wideouts Van Jefferson and Tyler Lockett, but neither improved the team’s performance. Since 2022, Jefferson has had little effect on three separate clubs. Lockett’s receiving numbers have dropped over the last three years. Doubts can carve out a significant role for the Titans as their No. 2 receiver behind Calvin Ridley. He has far more potential for a team that needs aid in his position.”

Moton called the Titans “receiver-needy,” but so are the Jets.

Doubs, a former fourth-round pick from Nevada, had three seasons with Green Bay, making 147 receptions, 1,7000 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns in 43 games (35 starts).

Darren Mougey, New York’s new general manager, has been looking for players in their mid-20s, so Doubs is ideal for the Jets’ timeline. Justin Fields doesn’t have many certifiable weapons at his disposal right now, making Doubs an appealing target for Mougey to pursue.
