Victor Wembanyama made his debut for Team France last summer, nearly taking the gold medal from the Americans on his home court at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

While EuroBasket is not the same as the Olympics, it is still a major FIBA tournament, and the French are anticipated to maintain the lead they established last summer.

Unfortunately, Wembanyama has yet to resume full-contact basketball workouts, and even with his return imminent, he will not play for Les Bleus this summer.

Without Wembanyama, the French National Team will have a difficult task, and Rudy Gobert’s absence will not help. Bilal Coulibaly, a Washington Wizards forward, is anticipated to play a significant part for France.
