JUST IN: Following Suns Rejection Of Spurs Offer For Kevin Durant, Spurs Gregg Popovich Has Officially Made Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo Spurs Top Priority to Pair With 21-Year-Old Superstar Victor Wembayama

The Milwaukee Bucks have not made a trade request for Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks are the only team the future Hall of Famer has played for, and he just stated that he wants to return to the NBA Finals with them.

However, one NBA analyst thinks a Western team should offer the Bucks four players and four lottery picks in exchange for The Greek Freak if Antetokounmpo changes his mind and decides to leave Milwaukee this offseason.
The San Antonio Spurs, led by 21-year-old sensation Victor Wembanyama, acquired Antetokounmpo thanks to a trade plan conceived by Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes:

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Pat Connaughton are acquired by the San Antonio Spurs.

These NBA Teams Could REALISTICALLY Get Giannis

The Milwaukee Bucks Obtain: No. 14 selection, 2027 first-round pick (via ATL), 2029 first-round pick, 2031 first-round pick (most advantageous of SAS or MIN), Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Sochan, Stephon Castle, and Keldon Johnson

In five games, the Bucks fell to the Indiana Pacers in the opening round of this year’s playoffs. Since defeating the Suns in six games to win the 2021 championship, Milwaukee has only triumphed once in a postseason series.

The Spurs, however, haven’t qualified for the playoffs since 2019.

Antetokounmpo has won two MVP awards, one Finals MVP award, one Defensive Player of the Year award, and nine All-Star selections. The outstanding forward averages 23.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks over the course of his career.

Next season, Antetokounmpo, 30, will earn $54.1 million. In October 2023, Antetokounmpo agreed to a three-year, $175 million contract extension with the Bucks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Traded To The Spurs

Antetokounmpo, who is ranked in the top 75 players of all time, was selected to the All-NBA First Team this season. He shot 60.1% from the field and 61.7% from the free-throw line while averaging 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.2 blocks over 67 games.

The Spurs will have a “Big 3” consisting of Antetokounmpo, Wembanyama, and De’Aaron Fox if they are able to get him.
