The Milwaukee Bucks have not made a trade request for Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks are the only team the future Hall of Famer has played for, and he just stated that he wants to return to the NBA Finals with them.
However, one NBA analyst thinks a Western team should offer the Bucks four players and four lottery picks in exchange for The Greek Freak if Antetokounmpo changes his mind and decides to leave Milwaukee this offseason.
The San Antonio Spurs, led by 21-year-old sensation Victor Wembanyama, acquired Antetokounmpo thanks to a trade plan conceived by Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes:
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Pat Connaughton are acquired by the San Antonio Spurs.
The Milwaukee Bucks Obtain: No. 14 selection, 2027 first-round pick (via ATL), 2029 first-round pick, 2031 first-round pick (most advantageous of SAS or MIN), Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Sochan, Stephon Castle, and Keldon Johnson
In five games, the Bucks fell to the Indiana Pacers in the opening round of this year’s playoffs. Since defeating the Suns in six games to win the 2021 championship, Milwaukee has only triumphed once in a postseason series.
The Spurs, however, haven’t qualified for the playoffs since 2019.
Antetokounmpo has won two MVP awards, one Finals MVP award, one Defensive Player of the Year award, and nine All-Star selections. The outstanding forward averages 23.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks over the course of his career.
