Luka Doncic’s last three months have been quite hectic. The five-time All-Star’s career took a drastic and completely unexpected turn in February when the Dallas Mavericks chose to trade him to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Doncic was able to integrate with his new squad alongside LeBron James after the first shock of his game-changing transfer. Doncic helped L.A. finish with a 50-32 regular-season record and the third seed in the Western Conference.
Unfortunately, the Lakers’ exciting season came to an abrupt end as they were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round.
Doncic’s fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, who is the mother of their one-year-old daughter, Gabriela, has been at his side through all of the highs and lows.
The Lakers wished all of the fathers on the team—including Doncic now—a very happy Father’s Day on social media on Sunday. After seeing the message, the 26-year-old published it on his Instagram stories.
Doncic posted a picture of himself and his daughter holding hands, with a heart emoji covering the girl’s face. The Slovenian left his post without a caption, allowing the image to do the talking.
