According to multiple sources within league circles, Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman is aggressively exploring the opportunity to acquire a top-tier starting arm to solidify the team’s championship aspirations. While the Braves have remained guarded about the names being discussed, insiders suggest that New York has zeroed in on either Max Fried or Spencer Strider—two of the most dominant pitchers in the National League.
The Braves are reportedly willing to consider offers that might include a package full of major league-ready talent and high-upside prospects as they navigate a fierce NL East fight right now.
Despite having a solid start to the season, the Yankees have seen their fair share of rotation issues, and they are making it clear that they will not stand by and do nothing.
