After making personnel changes through the 2025 NFL Draft and free agency, the Cleveland Browns’ offense should appear better in the 2025 NFL season.
Although Joe Flacco is expected to start at quarterback in Week 1, he has a number of strong position players at his disposal.
The passing game will be led by David Njoku and Jerry Jeudy, while head coach Kevin Stefanski’s run game can be revived by rookie running backs Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson.
Cleveland should keep looking throughout the league to bolster its youthful offensive position players, though, since they are probably still a few years away from being able to compete on a serious basis.
The team could always use more depth in their tight end room, even with Njoku remaining on the roster and doing well. For this reason, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox recommended a blockbuster trade with the Atlanta Falcons.
Terms of trade:
TE for the Browns Pitts, Kyle
Get: CB Greg Newsome II for the Falcons
Although player-for-player trades are uncommon, this one can be advantageous to both sides. Since his rookie season, Pitts hasn’t really been a focal point of the offense, and the Falcons might not want to give him market value in the long run. When healthy, Newsome has been largely reliable for the Browns, but Cleveland needs to consider its offensive future, Knox stated.
Kyle Pitts had the potential to be the league’s top young tight end, but injuries have hindered his progress and made him an afterthought in the Falcons’ passing scheme.
Losing Greg Newsome II in the secondary would be detrimental to the Browns, but considering his background, Pitts is a risk worth taking.
