Trade rumors involving Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks have begun as the NBA summer begins. Many NBA players believe that this offseason is the ideal time for Antetokounmpo to make a commitment because of Milwaukee’s recent early playoff exit.
Numerous reports have been circulating about Antetokounmpo, but it is still unclear what the star forward will do. It would require an enormous trade package to acquire the former MVP if the Bucks were to trade Antetokounmpo. Although Antetokounmpo has been linked to many teams thus far, veteran NBA commentator Bill Simmons suggested a team that is still in the postseason. Simmons created a trade deal and suggested that the New York Knicks pursue Antetokounmpo.
According to Simmons, the agreement might look like this: Giannis Antetokounmpo gets acquired by the Knicks. Karl-Anthony Towns and many draft selections are sent to the Bucks by the Spurs from the Knicks. Spurs are given: Bridges, Mikal “I just wonder, instead of Durant, who was in the 2007 Draft and has been around for a long time, does it make more sense to target somebody like Bridges?” Simmons stated. “And then if you’re the Knicks, could you send Bridges for picks and send those picks with Towns for Giannis and basically turn Towns and Bridges into Giannis would be my question?”
Antetokounmpo shot 60.1 percent from the field this season and averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. He might make all the difference and make New York even more powerful if he joins the Knicks. It would be difficult to lose Towns and Bridges, but Antetokounmpo might be worth it. If the Bucks made this offer to New York, they would probably accept it. They may completely mitigate that, and New York will soon have to make a significant decision on Bridges over an extension. Bridges has contributed positively to the squad, but Antetokounmpo is a talent that transcends generations.
