NEW YORK— The Mets’ bullpen is receiving reinforcements.

The Mets announced on Wednesday that right-hander Ty Adcock and left-hander Genesis Cabrera have been added to the major-league roster, ahead of their series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Citi Field.

Cabrera will join a bullpen that has lost both left-handed relievers in recent days.

Danny Young was placed on the disabled list Wednesday with a left elbow strain, and he may require Tommy John surgery. A.J. Minter was placed on the disabled list on April 27 with a lat strain, which might sideline him for the season.

Cabrera, who was signed in the winter, allowed seven earned runs in eight innings at Triple-A while striking out 12 and walking eight.

“When he’s around the zone, he’s electric,” Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Thursday. “We’ve seen it.”

Adcock pitched seven innings in Triple-A, allowing one earned run. He recorded six strikeouts and one walk. He was grabbed off waivers by the Tigers last season. He allowed seven earned runs in 4 1/3 innings for the Mets in 2024.

To make place for Cabrera and Minter, the Mets demoted Chris Devenski and Brandon Waddell, both of whom threw Wednesday after spending one day on the roster.
